GLSC offers Handicapped Fencing Leagues on Friday evenings.

Currently, we are hosting:
12-and-under Foil
8:00pm Alternate Fridays

Open Foil/Epee Ages 13 and up
8:00pm Alternate Fridays

Each night we will run 1-2 rounds of pools, based on attendance -- no D.E.s!

Handicapping
The handicap system works as follows: each fencer will be given a club rating (or, in the case of previously rated fencers, will start with their current rating).

For each rating above their opponent, the higher rated fencer must give one touch (point). For example, an A gives 4 touches to an E. This levels the playing field a bit for the less experienced fencers, while forcing the more experienced fencers to fence at their peak ability. Scores will be kept and recorded so fencers can track their progress from week to week.

The rating scale will be, from lowest to highest: 0, N(ovice), U(nrated), E, D, C, B, A
