GLSC regularly holds USFA-sanctioned competitions, including Youth, Novice, Rating-restricted, and Open events in all three weapons.

You may pre-register for events by contacting GLSC, or by visiting: www.AskFRED.net.
At a GLSC Tournament
In order to ensure a worthwhile experience for competitors, spectators, and officials alike, GLSC requests the following:
1. Be courteous and sportsmanlike at ALL times.
2. Follow the rules as stated in the USFA rulebook.
3. Be punctual. GLSC will NOT hold registration open unless there is an emergency.
4. Bring all the necessary equipment. Use the checklist below.
5. Have fun and cheer on your fellow competitors.
6. Bring your friends and family!
GLSC will promote 100% of the competitors from the preliminary Pool round to Direct Eliminations. However, we reserve the right (in cases of unusually large attendance, for instance) to promote only 70-80% as specified in the USFA Rulebook.
Tournament Checklist
1. Working Weapons (2 or more)
2. Working bodycords/headcords (2 or more)
3. Mask
4. Lame'
5. Jacket
6. Plastron
7. Knickers
8. Glove
9. LONG Socks
10. Shoes
11. T-shirt(s)
12. Chest Protector (mandatory for women)
13. Groin Protector
14. Snacks/Drinks
15. Towels (1 for slippery floors, another for your face, one for showering afterward)
16. Repair Kit
17. Optional - First Aid kit, Camera, Camcorder, Fencing journal, cheering section!*
